Very good fluke fishing continues a board the 70 foot Capt. Mike. Today the afternoon trip was better than the morning trip. With much better conditions for a favorable drift and the fluke bit very nicely. Eddie Monroe took the pool with a 7 lb fluke. Flounder fishing definitely took a BIG TIME improvement this weekend, with the warmer temperatures, far from what I would call great, but compared to a week ago this weekend was super. Although VERY LOCALIZED with only a couple drops producing fish. We are VERY lucky to have the BEST drop in Jamaica Bay right now less than 5 minutes from our dock. This weekend we have pulled OVER 30 GIANT FLOUNDERS up too Jeannie Romanovsky’s 16″ 2.72 lb fish from this drop. We sail every day 2 TRIPS a DAY 8 am and again at 1 pm. COME ON DOWN ITS FLOUNDER TIME. Remember and NEVER forget, “NO ONE KNOWS JAMAICA BAY, LIKE THE CREW OF THE CAPT. MIKE”

Flounder fishing DEFINITELY started out slowly on opening day, We tried A LOT of areas and didn’t find too much at all. However, since then, it is definitely showing signs of improvement, as both trips Wed and Thurs saw a few flounder hit the deck each trip a few more than the last trip. Still slow but better each day.
